Need a Change?

The word “change” has gotten a lot of popularity these days. The economy, the President, the government, weather patterns, company strategies, your television set-up, fuel efficiency – seems like everyone is trying to get some change in their life. Even American Idol has added a 4th judge to their panel – still not sure who she is but I like her.

Here we are in February now and I don’t know about you but a “change” sounds pretty good about now. Some 80˚ days would be great. But since that isn’t going to happen any time real soon. I was thinking how fun it would be to head on up to Keystone this weekend and just spend a few nights at River Run Village in my condo at Expedition Station. I’m not an avid skier. Actually I’m not really askier at all but I enjoy the smell of fresh pine trees and clean mountain air.The best thing about Keystone Resort is that everything is close at hand – Starbucks is only a few steps away. The Haywood Café is just around the corner. And for dinner I have some great choices in Parrot Eyes
and Paisano's. These are some great places to give me a bit of a change.

And in March there is a cool event for those of us who love gourmet cooking and are Food Network junkies. The Keystone Winter Culinary Festival is March 6th through March 8th. I’ve added a link so you can get all the details. If this is anything like The Taste of Keystone held in the late summer months –it will be a wonderful tasting experience. The Winter Culinary Festival is presented by 5280 Magazine and includes a martini tasting, wine tasting, ice carvings and of course a spread of some of the most delicious gourmet food from some of the areas most talented chefs.

Make your way up to Keystone March 6th and by all means….Bon Apetite!
